Our favorite non-candy Easter basket fillers and how to choose yours

We love to celebrate holidays in our house. Even by having an all white outfit made for international mud day! Celebrating is a must but something we do not do is excessive (or almost any) processed sugar. For holidays where traditional gifts are filled with candy and items with a lot of sugar we have been looking to change the game a bit. This year our toddlers Easter basket has no candy and all fun!

Focus on interests and experiences:

What to do: Make a list of your child’s favorite activities and experiences. Once you have a list search for Easter Themed version of those.

What we did: Our toddler loves being outside so I kept that in mind while choosing items for her basket. Sidewalk Chalk (Easter themed and adorable!), bubble wands and new crocs (the less expensive but just as cute off brand) made their way into her Easter Basket. What do they need:

What to do: Check out your list of what your toddlers needs and find fun and Easter version of them!

What we did: We have a goal to read 1000 books, with our toddler, before she is in kindergarten. So of course, we find ourselves sneaking in books for every occasion we can. Choosing a fun clothing items for any holiday gift is a good choice. Pajamas are our go to for our toddlers baskets. Easter has so many cute options! Arts and Crafts:

What to do: Review what craft supplies you have that are running low and find Easter Themed versions of them. Ones that your toddlers has never experienced before can be a great way to make new and exciting memories!

What we did: Our toddler loves art projects and I love to buy them as gifts. They keep our toddler engaged, excited and occupied… win win! Crayonscoloring books and paints, made there way into her basket this year. Choosing outdoor and indoor options can be a great option to plan for outdoor time in the warm weather approaching. We have a planter painting project soo to plant our patio gardens in.
